For our 2017 Chardonnay, we selected a non-sparkling white wine from the Côte de Beaune, specifically the Maranges appellation. This appellation, dominated by red wines, holds a few hectares of Chardonnay (8%). This is a white wine with an intense bouquet, unctuous and balanced on the palate.
Varieties: Chardonnay: 100%
Production:
Fermentation and ageing on fine lees in oak barrels for 12 months.
Tasting:
Golden yellow hue. Intense bouquet, composed of white flowers and gentle hints of honey, all on a background of roasted almonds.
The palate is round, elegant and fresh. The finish is long with slightly toasted notes.
Serving advice: Between 12 and 13°C
Food and wine pairings:
Vegetable antipasti or poultry terrine. High quality fish, served in a sauce or grilled. Chicken supreme with morel mushrooms. Fresh spring Comté cheese.
