PINOT NOIR AOP SAINT-ROMAIN RED 2018

Our 2018 Pinot Noir selection comes from the Saint-Romain ‘appellation contrôlée’, an integral part of the Côte de Beaune. We decided upon this small Burgundy terroir (less than 40 hectares), characterised by the delicacy of its wines. This 2018 Pinot Noir, with its intense red fruit flavours, is a wine that is both elegant and indulgent.

Varieties:

Pinot Noir: 100%

Production:

De-stemmed at harvest. Temperature-controlled vatting for 15 days. Stirred daily. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels with no new wood.

Tasting:

Ruby red hue. Intense bouquet of slightly stewed red berries. An elegant palate, dominated by fresh fruit on the finish. Silky soft tannins.

Serving advice: Between 15 and 17°C

Food and wine pairings:

Veal stew. Stuffed poultry or roast chicken. Spit-roasted suckling pig. Cheeses (Brillat-savarin, Saint Nectaire).
